Program overview
Students use ecological sampling techniques to gather data about the biodiversity, human uses and management of Bunyaville Conservation Park.
A comparison is undertaken between a disturbed site with a minimally-impacted site. Analysis determines how biodiverse each site is and how human use and management may play a part in this.
In addition to the environmental ramifications, social and economic consequences are considered.
The program uses the geographical inquiry approach such as observing and questioning, and covers the geographical concepts of place, space, interconnection, environment, sustainability and change.
For this program you will need to refer to the relevant Curriculum Activity Risk Assessments.
