Bunyaville Environmental Education Centre (BEEC) is a Queensland Department of Education school and therefore satisfies all Department of Education requirements (as outlined within Policies and Procedures Register). All staff are trained in their specific roles and all Departmental guidelines are adhered to. Risk management is a high priority within Centre operations. Facilities are regularly checked and maintained and all equipment is used in accordance with manufacturers' guidelines. Curriculum Activity Risk Assessments have been completed for all BEEC conducted activities. See below table for more details.
Planning:
Please be aware that the students will be participating in activities in an outdoor setting (in the bush) and therefore amongst plants, animals and the bush terrain. Safety instructions are given prior to each activity to help keep everyone safe as well as teaching students the value of caring for Country. We are situated in the Bunyaville Conservation Park which is open to the public.
