Bunyaville Environmental Education Centre host the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students from our local cluster schools (Albany Creek State School, Albany Hills State School, Bray Park State High School, Eatons Hill State School, McDowall State School and Albany Creek State High School) in a full day event that celebrates National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children's Day.
This is held in August every year.
The aim of this event is to provide an opportunity for our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to learn from their Elders, community and peers, while learning on Country. It is also to create a sense of community.
If you would like to start something similar in your community. You are welcome to contact Olwen (Ollie) Narbey, Principal for support and ideas. principal@bunyavilleeec.eq.edu.au
